About Pondelick

A Lifetime of Service.
Serving Our Country.

From defusing explosives in Iraq to advocating for veterans and training service animals for disabled heroes, Scot Pondelick has never stopped serving others.

Scot Pondelick has dedicated his life to serving our country

Originally from Washington state, Scot completed 3 combat deployments to Iraq as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician, where even a minor misstep could end in catastrophe. He learned to act boldly and decisively, and carries those lessons with him still.

Scot was not content to only serve his country abroad. When he returned, he began working with local organizations in Washington to aid other veterans transitioning into civilian life. He helped create the Veterans Resource Fair, an event which hosted over 130 different organizations and was attended by over 1500 veterans and their families each year. He managed this event for 6 years, and helped turn it into the non-profit Nineline Veterans Services where he served as CEO and president of the board for 3 years.

When Scot moved to Kansas City 10 years ago, he became a Service Animal Trainer with the non-profit Battle Within and their service animal group, Dogs 4 Valor. He and his service dog, Venus, have helped many disabled veterans in Kansas City train their service animals to their specific needs and find community among fellow veterans with disabilities.

Now, Scot aims to serve his community by bringing our voices to Washington DC. For over 20 years, we’ve been ignored by a representative who cared more about party loyalty than getting results. Scot will fight for what the people of northern Missouri deserve.
